Senior Companion/ Care Giver
A reputable company is looking for motivated individuals to occupy senior care giver positions.

Job Description
• Senior caregivers are responsible for providing companionship, care, and support to the elderly.
Key Responsibilities:
A care giver’s responsibilities may include the following.
• Assist elderly with dressing, bathing, grooming and toileting
• Provide support in handling basic household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and ironing
• Plan, prepare and monitor meals for elderly individuals by conforming to meal plans meted out by healthcare professionals or family members
• Clean area after meal and ensure appropriate sanitation is performed
• Provide assistance with walking and light exercises
• Change linen and ensure that rooms are aired out on a regular basis
• Run errands, buy groceries, pick up prescriptions and pay bills
• Manage and maintain health insurance plans of clients
• Encourage elderly wards to engage in both physical and mental exercises
• Administer medication according to schedule
• Escort elderly to social activities such as gatherings, dinners, picnics or parties
• Provide companionship to clients during religious services and events
• Accompany individuals to doctors’ appointments or physical therapy sessions
• Respond quickly to emergency situations by employing first aid and CPR practices
• Engage clients in conversation with a view to keeping them entertained
• Listen to clients when they are in a ranting mood and provide compassionate responses
• Observe changes in behavior or medical condition and report changes immediately
• Take notes of responses to medicines and create reports for medical intervention purposes
• Report any significant change in clients’ health/condition and communicate the same to the family/doctor immediately
