- Take accurate body measurements of clients and cut fabrics perfectly - Sew and design male, female and traditional wear (Kente, Ankara, suits) - Train junior tailors and ensure high quality finishing and delivery on time - Operate industrial and manual sewing machines to sew clothes neatly - Repair, amend and adjust client clothes to fit well - Keep work area clean and maintain sewing machines daily
Responsibilities
- Must know how to cut and sew perfectly without supervision - Must be able to design modern and traditional styles (Kente, Ankara, Kaftan, Suits) - Must be neat, creative, and have 3+ years experience in tailoring/fashion
Requirements & Skills
- Must be able to read, write and take accurate measurements - Portfolio or sample of past works (photos of past works) - Basic education — JHS / SHS - Certificate in tailoring/dressmaking is an added advantage - Must be able to handle different fabrics and machines
