Responsibilities
**Requirements of a Sales Assistant* Here’s what most retail shops, supermarkets, and stores in Accra look for: *1. Education & Experience* - *Minimum education*: JHS or SHS certificate. Diploma in Sales/Marketing/Business is a plus - *Experience*: 0-1 year in retail, customer service, or sales is preferred. Many shops train on the job - *Product knowledge*: Experience selling similar products is an advantage - fashion, phones, groceries, etc. *2. Core Skills* - *Customer service*: Friendly, patient, and good at handling different types of people - *Communication*: Good spoken English + at least 1 local language. Twi/Ga is a big advantage in Accra - *Sales ability*: Confident to approach customers, upsell, and meet targets - *Basic math*: Handle cash, discounts, mobile money, and POS accurately - *Product knowledge*: Quick to learn about what the shop sells - *Computer/POS skills*: Ability to use a till system, calculator, and basic Excel *3.
