The English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering effective English lessons, teaching grammar, reading, writing, comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, speaking, and listening skills, and preparing appropriate teaching and learning materials. The teacher will assess students through classwork, assignments, quizzes, tests, and examinations, mark and provide constructive feedback, maintain accurate records of students’ academic progress, and provide additional support to students who require assistance. The teacher will be expected to work patiently and effectively with Chinese students, adapt teaching methods to suit their English proficiency and learning needs, encourage confident communication, and maintain a respectful multicultural classroom environment.

Responsibilities

The candidate must be a female with at least a Bachelor’s degree or relevant teaching qualification in English, English Education, Education, Literature, or a related field, with a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience. The candidate must have excellent spoken and written English, good classroom-management and communication skills, and the ability to teach English effectively to young learners. **The candidate must be comfortable working with Chinese students, demonstrate patience and cultural awareness, and be able to communicate effectively and manage a multicultural classroom environment.** Applicants must currently live in Tema or its surrounding areas and be able to commute reliably to the school in Tema Community 11. The candidate must be responsible, professional, adaptable, and committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
