Supervising children and ensuring their safety at all times. Preparing nutritious meals and snacks. Assisting with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene. Planning educational and recreational activities. Helping with homework and school projects. Transporting children to and from school, appointments, or activities (if required). Maintaining children's daily schedules, including naps and bedtime routines. Changing diapers and assisting with toilet training for younger children. Keeping children's bedrooms, play areas, and belongings clean and organized. Washing and putting away children's laundry. Monitoring children's health and administering medication as instructed by parents. Communicating regularly with parents about the children's activities, behavior, and any concerns. Teaching good manners, social skills, and age-appropriate life skills. Providing emotional support and encouraging positive behavior.

Responsibilities

Minimum of Basic Education (JHS/SHS preferred depending on employer). Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or as a nanny is an advantage. Must be patient, caring, and responsible. Good understanding of children’s needs and development. Ability to follow parents’ instructions and household routines. Must be trustworthy and reliable. Basic knowledge of first aid and child safety is an advantage. Good communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings when required. Skills: Excellent childcare and supervision skills. Patience and emotional understanding. Good cooking and meal preparation skills for children. Ability to organize activities and playtime. Good hygiene and cleanliness habits. Problem-solving skills. Ability to handle children calmly during difficult situations. Time management and organizational skills. Ability to assist with homework and learning activities.

Requirements & Skills

Ability to understand and meet children’s needs. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic knowledge of child safety and hygiene practices. Ability to prepare simple meals for children. Must be physically fit and able to handle childcare duties. Must have a good attitude and willingness to learn. A First Aid certificate or childcare training is an added advantage.
