Chef Responsibilities • Plan and prepare high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and standards. • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes. • Supervise kitchen assistants and support staff. • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation. • Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies. • Minimize food waste and manage kitchen costs effectively. • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals. • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff. • Comply with all food safety regulations and restaurant policies.
Responsibilities
Experience • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or catering establishment. • Experience in menu planning, food costing, and kitchen supervision. • Proven ability to prepare a variety of local and continental dishes. Skills and Competencies • Excellent cooking and food presentation skills. • Strong leadership and team management abilities. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Creativity and passion for food preparation. • High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Requirements & Skills
• certificate, diploma, or equivalent qualification in culinary arts, catering, hospitality management, or a related field. • food safety and hygiene certification will be an added advantage.
