Processing Payments: Enter prices, and accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, or mobile money. Handling Cash: Count the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts, calculate correct change, and balance the till. Customer Service: Greet shoppers, answer questions about prices or promotions, and bag or wrap purchased items. Managing Returns: Process merchandise returns, exchanges, and customer refunds according to store policy. Sales Support: Promote ongoing store offers, cross-sell additional items, and help keep the checkout workspace clean and organized. Security & Reporting: Watch for suspicious behavior, prevent theft, and compile end-of-shift sales reports for management.

Responsibilities

Skills in transaction processing, strong interpersonal skills to manage customer service and sales. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle repetitive tasks during busy shifts. Reliability: High levels of honesty, dependability, and punctuality, given the responsibility of managing company revenue. Point-of-Sale (POS) Systems: Proficiency in operating electronic registers, barcode scanners, and credit card terminals. Cash Handling: Accuracy in counting cash, processing card or mobile payments, and writing end-of-shift reports after closing.

Requirements & Skills

Education: A tertiary degree in business finance or high school diploma or equivalent is typically preferred. Experience: 2 years prior experience in retail, customer service, or cash handling
