The driver for a cement and iron rod sales shop is responsible for loading materials securely onto the delivery vehicle, following safety procedures, and delivering to construction sites and customers along assigned routes. They must check vehicles before driving for mechanical and safety issues, perform basic maintenance checks, report defects promptly, and ensure trucks are maneuvered properly into loading/unloading positions. Documentation tasks include obtaining receipts, signatures, and customer acknowledgment

Responsibilities

Valid driving license (standard license for local driving; License D and above ) Clean driving record with no major violations Good physical health and ability to pass medical exams Understanding of traffic rules, regulations, and legal responsibilities Proficient vehicle operation (controls, instruments, moving away, stopping) Safe positioning and navigation using GPS Safety checks (cockpit checks, safety checks, security checks) Strong observation, signaling, and planning abilities Sound judgment and quick decision-making under pressure Patience to remain calm in stressful situations Time management and organizational skills for route planning Excellent safety and precautionary skills

Requirements & Skills

The minimum qualification for a driver is a valid driving license for the specific vehicle type. The driver must be at least 18-21 years old, have good physical health with proper eyesight and hearing, be able to read and speak the language to understand traffic signs and signals, and have at least two years of driving experience before passing the road test. No educational degree needed
