Preparing Construction Sites Clear debris and obstacles. Set up tools, equipment, and materials. Loading and Unloading Materials Transport construction materials to work areas. Store materials safely and properly. Operating Tools and Equipment Use hand tools and power tools safely. Assist in operating construction machinery when authorized. Assisting Skilled Tradespeople Support masons, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and welders. Follow instructions from supervisors and foremen. Building and Demolition Work Mix concrete, dig trenches, and perform excavation work. Assist in constructing and dismantling structures. Maintaining Safety Standards Wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Follow workplace health and safety regulations. Report hazards and accidents immediately.

Responsibilities

Must be between 18 and 45 years old (depending on company policy). Physically fit and able to perform manual labor. Good health and able to work in outdoor environments. Basic knowledge of construction work is an advantage. Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Willingness to work long hours, overtime, and shift schedules when required. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Must be hardworking, disciplined, and reliable. Previous construction experience is an added advantage but may not be required for entry-level positions. Must possess a valid identification document (e.g., Ghana Card, Voter ID, Passport, or other accepted ID).

Requirements & Skills

Ability to communicate in English or a local language commonly used on site. No history of serious workplace misconduct or safety violations.
