Pump Attendant Needed

Dispensing fuel (petrol, diesel, or gas) into customers' vehicles. Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner. Collecting payments (cash, card, or mobile payments) and issuing receipts. Checking oil, water, tire pressure, and cleaning windshields when requested. Keeping the fuel pumps and station clean and tidy. Monitoring fuel levels and reporting shortages or equipment faults. Following all safety procedures to prevent fires, spills, and accidents. Promoting and selling station products such as lubricants, snacks, or car accessories. Recording daily sales and fuel transactions accurately. Providing basic directions or information to customers when needed.

Responsibilities

Must be at least 18 years old. Minimum qualification: Junior High School (JHS) certificate, Senior High School (SHS/WASSCE) certificate, or equivalent (depending on the employer). Physically fit and able to stand for long periods. Good character with honesty and integrity. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Basic knowledge of cash handling and customer service. Previous experience in a fuel station or customer service role is an added advantage but is not always required. Skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Good communication skills. Basic numeracy and cash-handling ability. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow health and safety procedures. Time management and punctuality. Ability to work well in a team. Problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Willingness to learn and adapt to company procedures.

Requirements & Skills

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and a local language. Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and recording sales. Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods. Good customer service and communication skills. Honest, trustworthy, and of good character. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Previous experience in a fuel station or customer service role is an added advantage but is not mandatory.
