Coordinates effectively with the Minister and Stewards to ensure adequate record keeping, timely reporting to various committees, and readiness at all times for church meetings, church service and other events of the society.
Maintains appropriate hard copy and electronic administrative filing system for all the society’s records; Documents the filing system and maintains an archiving system for the society’s records
Provides administrative support to the minister, coordinating committees, and the Leaders’ Meeting, keeping them informed and prompted on meetings, reports, and responsibilities
Prepare minutes of meetings; Records appointments, administrative meetings
Arranges meetings, interviews and prepares itinerary
Receives in coming mails and forwards them as appropriate for approval and action; Types out letters and programs
Writes Speeches and messages for the minister where required
Maintains petty cash to meet office expenses
Follows laid down procedure for disbursement of petty cash and submits expenditure reports with the necessary back up with requests for replenishment
Maintains proper records to allow for easy verification and cash counts
Banks cash and cheque receipts promptly after reconciliation with the accountant
Qualifications and Skills
* A first degree/diploma in Social Sciences or equivalent
* Excellent knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
* Not less than 2 years’ experience in a similar position
* Ability to type
* Excellent command of English Language, both written and spoken
* Availability to work on weekends as required.
