We are looking to add a results-driven, hands-on person, who has the same high ambitions and drive to help fuel the growth of the business.
The ideal candidate will work with the team to implement best practice procedures within the Finance function. The Finance Manager will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. He or She will own a lead the direction financial operations to ensure Tonaton.com stays the largest online marketplace in Ghana.
Produce financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables and expenses
Ensure that the approved operating policy guidelines, procedure and performance standard addresses the company’s operational needs
Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax planning
Responsible for the coordination, consolidation and report on the financial performance of the various Business Units(Verticals) of the Company
Audit and review the integrity of the reconciliation of the various general ledgers and sign off
Analyze business operations, financial commitments, costs, revenues trends to develop projections for future revenue and expenses
Coordinate, prepare, review, monitor budget and provide feedback to Management for efficient resource utilization
Prepare Monthly/Quarterly/Semi-Annual/Annual financial reports
Required to lead in all audit/inspection of Company books and implement recommendations
Ensure compliance with accounting and finance standards, best practices, and government regulations
Report on operational performance and suggest/implement improvements
Responsible for the efficient and timely running of Payroll and related reporting each month
Mentor and motivate Finance team to achieve productivity, retention and engagement
Formulate business strategy and policies to determine the KPIs for the team
Oversee employee productivity and development in business area
Take ownership and do whatever it takes to get the job done ethically!
4 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role of leadership
1st Degree in Accounting, Economics or a related field
ACCA /ICAG Member
Post-graduate qualification in Finance /Accounting from a recognized institution will be helpful
Working experience in Ghana Tax compliance
Use of Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Use of ERP Software
Highly organised with good problem solving skills
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Analytical skills to evaluate data and make operational decisions
Prior ecommerce experience would be great, but not required
Be a strategic member of the senior management team
