Minimum of 3 years working experience in Jnr Sous chef’s position or in a Sous chef’s position at present in a 4-5 star hotel, in a supervisory role
• Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution in Ghana will be an added advantage
The job description includes, but not limited to the following.
Assist the Executive Chef in selecting and developing recipes based on type of food to be prepared and applying personal knowledge and experience in food preparation.
Assist the Executive Chef in planning menus, taking advantage of foods in season and local availability. Manages foodservice operations according to health and safety standards and inspections.
Supervises personnel engaged in preparing, cooking, and serving meats, sauces, vegetables, soups, and other foods.
Maintain excellent grooming and hygiene standards all the time.
Estimates food consumption, assists in requisitions of food supplies, kitchen equipment and appliances, and other supplies and receives deliveries
Maintain discipline and mutual respect for all employees in the kitchen
Candidate must have knowledge in all the sections of the kitchen
Candidate must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Candidate must have a pleasant demeanor, be very energetic and must be able to motivate team
He/she must be very innovative
